“The city too busy to hate” can add another feather to its hat.
Austin, Texas-based reported Atlanta is the best city in the United States for web developers to move to based on job availability, average annual salary, median home price and median annual rent.
The blog noted the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment for web developers to grow 27 percent between 2014 and 2024.
“Web developers might want to get on a midnight train to Georgia. Or fly , if you are in a hurry,” the blog reported. “With the second highest average salary on our list, and ranking first on both housing and rent affordability, Atlanta tops our list of cities for web developers by a huge margin.”
The study found that a $96,000 salary represents 39 percent percent of the average home price in Atlanta. Additionally, rent in Atlanta accounted for only 18 percent of the average web developer’s income in the city, the best ratio on the list.
