On-campus: Sprout Film Festival “making the invisible visible”

ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV’s Accessibility Services is partnering with Hi-Hope Service Center to sponsor and host the on Saturday, September 30 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Conant Performing Arts Center.

The Sprout Film Festival, founded in 2003, is the first and only festival to exclusively showcase films featuring people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

is an Atlanta-area nonprofit that offers a variety of services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Doors will open at 2:15 p.m. and the film screening will run from 2:30 to 4:30, with a moderated response panel and a reception to follow. Elizabeth Peterson, director of the OU Museum of Art, as well as a mother and advocate, and Accessibility Services Intern Nicole Slifcak will participate on the panel.

General admission tickets are $10 in advance/$15 at the door; $5 for Oglethorpe students. .
