Now in its 13th year,聽聽is highly competitive, with candidates submitting聽a statement on liberal education, after first being nominated by the president and academic dean at their own institutions.
This year’s seminar,聽Liberal Education: Approaching the Digital聽drew professors from some of聽the nation鈥檚 nationally ranked liberal arts colleges including Vassar, Rhodes and Bard colleges.聽The seminar sought to contribute to a national conversation聽on the idea of liberal education and the mission of the liberal arts college amidst the extraordinary possibilities, as well as the potential pitfalls, created by digital technologies.
