Oglethorpe is celebrating its annual , which seeks to build awareness and educate the campus community on the importance of giving and giving back. The events aim to promote a culture of gratitude among students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and Trustees, and to provide the community inspiration and ideas on how to 鈥淢ake a Difference.鈥
Spearheaded by , the week included a kick-off for the 2018 Senior Campaign, a Young Alumni Gives Back outing at Monday Night Brewing’s Garage, a President’s Advisory Council meeting and a Planned Giving workshop, among many other efforts such as thank you luncheons for volunteers and a get together. A student Phonathon team also made calls to donors to thank them for their continued contributions.
In the classroom, 补苍诲听 were guest lecturers in a Non-Profit Management course midweek.
Maybe the most noticeable additions to campus during the week were the Oglethorpe Gratitude Garden, an installation on the O.K. Sheffield Patio at the Turner Lynch Campus Center where students and faculty and staff were encouraged to share personal messages on large yard signs, and the large “gift tags” on signature buildings.
