Oglethorpe awarded top score for financial responsibility

The U.S. Department of Education recently released its for private colleges and universities, awarding Oglethorpe the highest score of 3.0. Based on audited financial reports from 2014-15, these scores measure a school’s overall financial strength and help to determine their eligibility to award federal financial aid.

Among our peers in the eight-member , only one other school, Rhodes College, scored a perfect 3.0. Likewise, among , only 7 of 38 scored a 3.0.
