好色先生TV and the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University have developed a new pipeline designed to educate more local nurses to bolster the nursing workforce.
With this collaboration, eligible students who graduate with a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Oglethorpe will be able to enroll in the School of Nursing鈥檚 Master of Nursing (MN) program.
Emory鈥檚 MN program is an entry-to-practice pre-licensure degree program designed for students with bachelor鈥檚 degrees in other disciplines. Students who complete the 15-month program are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and begin practice as a registered nurse (RN).
This five-year partnership demonstrates the School of Nursing鈥檚 commitment to collaborating with colleges and universities in the metro Atlanta area to further infuse the community with high-caliber nurses. It is another step the school is taking to meet the demands of the nursing workforce.
Students who enroll at Oglethorpe for the Fall semester 2024 can participate in the new program. Details are now available on the new program page of the Oglethorpe website.

The partnership with Oglethorpe is the School of Nursing鈥檚 third collaboration designed to prepare additional nurses. The school currently has two similar collaborations with Spelman College and Agnes Scott College.

Oglethorpe鈥檚 highly regarded undergraduate biology program is known for hands-on instruction, field and lab research, service learning and experiential components such as internships and lab assistantships. The Howard Hughes Medical Institute also recently named Oglethorpe one of 14 schools to share in an $8 million grant to increase opportunities for underrepresented students in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM).
