Here are scenes from Oglethorpe’s annual Orientation Day of Service on August 27, which took more than 400 first-year students and student leaders, plus staff and faculty, out to volunteer at 16 nonprofits throughout metro Atlanta. Special thanks to Waffle House for getting the day started right with a hearty breakfast!
The volunteer locations were: the Atlanta BeltLine;Â Atlanta Community Food Bank;Â Atwood Community Garden;Â Blue Heron Nature Preserve;Â Books for Africa;Â Brookhaven Park;Â Crossroads Hospice;Â Gateway Center;Â Hosea Feed the Hungry;Â Making A Way Housing Inc.;Â MedShare;Â Nicholas House;Â Piedmont Park;Â Sheltering Grace;Â Society of St. Vincent de Paul;Â Volunteer!
