Looking for a little more art and inspiration in your week? Starting in March, the is hosting “,” a live video series brought straight to your phone or computer every week via Facebook Live.
For just five minutes, Museum Director Elizabeth Peterson and Curator of Collections聽John Daniel Tilford will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the art currently on display at the Oglethorpe Museum and across campus.
While there is much to be discovered through the museum’s , Peterson promises “5-Minute Museum,” will give an inside peek at the many pieces in the museum’s permanent collection and works on loan. There may be some secrets to discover, too!

3/16 – : Ever want to open a painting and find out what鈥檚 inside the frame?聽 OUMA Curator of Collections John Daniel Tilford takes you up close to a beautiful landscape by Eug猫ne Boudin’s — Claude Monet鈥檚 mentor — prior to a trip to conservation.
3/23 – “: The back of this sculpture is as exciting as the front — and full of secrets. Join Museum Director Elizabeth Peterson and discover hidden details behind this piece by Cuban American Alejandra Aguilera in the atrium of Oglethorpe’s Philip Weltner Library.
3/30 – : How do we get exhibitions from idea to gallery? Follow Museum Director Elizabeth Peterson and Curator of Collections John Daniel Tilford to see some mounting tips and tricks, behind the scenes of the upcoming Pax Tokugawa installation, opening Apr. 2.
