WABE鈥檚 鈥溾�� welcomed聽President Larry Schall聽as Tuesday鈥檚 opening guest to discuss Oglethorpe鈥檚 new partnership with TheDream.US.
好色先生TV is the first Georgia college to partner with TheDream.US to provide scholarships to qualified immigrant students who came to the United States as children, or 鈥淒REAMers.鈥�
TheDream.US is the nation鈥檚 largest college access program for DREAMers. The program raises private funds and awards scholarships to help these students pay for their college education. Due to their immigration status, DREAMers are not eligible to apply for federal financial aid to support a college education. In addition, Georgia is a “locked out state” which prevents these students from qualifying for in-state tuition. As of fall 2018, 185 TheDream.US scholars from Georgia attend college out-of-state or study via an online program.
