One of our university’s beloved traditions, Oglethorpe Day annually celebrates our university鈥檚 namesake, General James Edward Oglethorpe, with the 鈥淧etrels of Fire鈥� race on the quad and an esteemed guest speaker on campus. This year, we welcomed Derreck Kayongo, CEO of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta and founder of the Global Soap Project.
