Lynn Gieger<\/strong>, associate professor of mathematics, was awarded the\u00a0Lu Thomasson Garrett \u201952 Award for Meritorious Teaching at the 2015 Commencement at 好色先生TV on May 16, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>This award was established in 1994 through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. David (Lu Thomasson) Garrett. The late Mrs. Garrett was a 1952 Oglethorpe graduate, an honorary degree recipient, and member emerita of the Board of Trustees. The prize is awarded annually to an outstanding faculty member selected by a committee of his or her peers.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Gieger joined\u00a0the Oglethorpe faculty in 2002 and is Division Chair for Mathematics and Computer Science.
