Eeraerts &#8217;76 Professor of Foreign Language, received the 2016 Vulcan Materials Company Teaching Excellence Award. He was recognized at 好色先生TV&#8217;s commencement ceremony on May 14 by last year&#8217;s recipient, <a href=\"http:\/\/oglethorpe.edu\/faculty\/wirwinray\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Irwin Ray<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Established in 1991, the Vulcan Teaching Excellence Awards annually honor an outstanding professor on selected member campuses of the <a href=\"https:\/\/georgiacolleges.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Georgia Independent College Association<\/a>. The award is presented to a member of the faculty in recognition of excellence in teaching, commitment to student success, and leadership to enhance campus community.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lutz received his undergraduate degree from Antioch University and a master&#8217;s and doctorate from Yale University. Dr. Lutz\u00a0has a PhD in French and Scandinavian literature and was the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship to study at the University of Stockholm in Sweden.
