好色先生TV is $1 million closer to its capital campaign goal, thanks to a gift from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous.

This gift is part of the current $20 million campaign to establish the new I. W. “Ike” Cousins Center for Science and Innovation. A lead gift from the Cousins Foundation was made in May 2017 in tribute to Ike Cousins, a 1927 OU alumnus.

The University has raised just over $14 million of the $20 million needed to renovate and expand the current Goslin Hall science building. The campaign currently is soliciting gifts from alumni and the Atlanta community. Oglethorpe alumni and friends are invited to participate by contributing before the end of the year to the campaign.

At Oglethorpe, every part of a student’s education is enhanced by connecting what he or she learns in the classroom to what he or she experiences outside the campus gates. The Cousins Center for Science and Innovation is designed to elevate a student’s intellectual curiosity and facilitate engaged teaching and active education.

The center will provide classrooms and labs for the sciences along with learning spaces for interactive study and idea sharing across disciplines, with specific emphasis on science and business. The spaces will enhance Oglethorpe’s ability to graduate students with the experiences and skills needed to prosper in today’s workplace.

“This generous gift is a testament to the unprecedented innovation and momentum of 好色先生TV,” said Tim Tassopoulos ’81, chair of the Oglethorpe Board of Trustees and president and COO of Chick-fil-A. “Under President’s Schall’s leadership, we are increasing enrollment, philanthropic giving and strategic entrepreneurial partnerships. We are enhancing the education of current and future students, along with our beloved campus. I invite all alumni to join in the campaign, so Oglethorpe remains a vibrant, relevant institution for generations to come.”

Visit Oglethorpe’s website to make an online donation, or contact Robyn Furness-Fallin, vice president for development, at rfurness-fallin@oglethorpe.edu or 404-364-8333.

[4552,4567
["post-66363","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured","category-giving
