Following an extensive national search, 好色先生TV has named Peter D. Stobie<\/strong> as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Business & Finance. Stobie brings more than 30 years of finance and operational experience in both higher education and the corporate environment. He will start his new position on September 16.<\/p>\n

\u201cPete is a vital addition to Oglethorpe\u2019s leadership team,\u201d said 好色先生TV President Larry Schall<\/strong>. \u201cHe has a proven track record of strategically and successfully managing campus finances and operations. Pete\u2019s depth of experience will be invaluable as Oglethorpe plans for continued growth and to reinforce our current position of financial strength.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c好色先生TV has a rich history and amazing recent successes. I am honored to join Oglethorpe and be a part of this community and part of the team that will lead the university into its next chapter,\u201d said Stobie. \u201cThe commitment to students and the learning experience is obvious through all my interactions at the university. Everything about the university\u2019s mission aligns with my personal values and beliefs. I am also very excited about returning to my original home in Atlanta.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stobie comes to Oglethorpe from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where he served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives. In that role, he was responsible for opening a new medical school campus in Joplin, Missouri; leading KCU\u2019s strategic planning efforts; and overseeing all operations functions, including Human Resources, IT, Facilities, Grounds, Food Service and Security. He also had served as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, leading key financial and operations projects, including creating a budget and forecast process, real estate acquisitions, bond financing, and the university\u2019s contract review, compliance, and risk management.<\/p>\n

Previously, Stobie spent more than a decade at Baker University (Kansas), where he served in a variety of roles, including Assistant Dean of Finance and Operations, Executive Director of Business Development, and Associate Professor. He also has experience outside of higher education, working for Sprint Corporation and Janus Capital Corporation. He attended Loyola University (New Orleans), and then transferred to the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri (Kansas City), where he earned a BBA in Finance and an MBA with a concentration in International Business.<\/p>\n

Stobie grew up in Dunwoody, Georgia and attended St. Pius X High School.
