Dr. Leroy Carson<\/strong>, assistant professor of management and entrepreneurship and founding director of 好色先生TV\u2019s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, moderated a panel on entrepreneurship and innovation during the 52nd Annual Legislative Conference Sept. 20-24 in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) is the leading policy conference on issues impacting African Americans and the global Black community. Thought leaders, legislators and concerned citizens engaged on economic development, civil and social justice, public health and education issues.<\/p>\n

Subject matter experts, industry leaders, elected officials and citizen activists gathered to explore today’s top issues from an African American perspective. The theme of the conference was \u201cSecuring Our Democracy. Protecting Our Freedoms. Uplifting Our Culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Carson was one of the few academics from Georgia asked to be a moderator of a panel. His panel was titled \u201cThe New Frontier: Empowering the Future of Black Innovation<\/em><\/strong>,\u201d and was hosted by U.S. Rep. Stacey E. Plaskett<\/strong>, D-Virgin Islands.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was energizing to be a part of this event, and I was honored to be chosen,\u201d Dr. Carson said. \u201cAs we continue to build the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Oglethorpe, there will be many more opportunities to share our expertise on the national stage, and I look forward to leading its growth.\u201d<\/p>\n
